Robert Arthur, JD was named the 2018 recipient of the Kathleen M. Baird Dolphin Award at the 2018 Annual Meeting. In announcing the award, CFLCW Board Chair Christy D’Angelo said that Robert “is always prodding and prompting us to view opportunities with an eye on technology, to consider new ways to reach out to the public and professionals, and to think a little differently or consider new ways to achieve our goals.”
Arthur serves on the Boards on both CFLCW and the Foundation, and is the current Program Planning Committee Chair. He was named Chair-Elect for 2019 and will serve as Chair in 2020, the 2oth Anniversary year of the Council.
Chair D’Angelo also said that “while we have many members that are graduates of Marquette University, I do not think we have many with an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering. Nor do we have many members – if any – that have served as CEO of a manufacturing company, an audio engineer with touring rock and roll bands or a theology student . His service as Program Planning Chair has brought financial success to our webinar efforts and he was among the first to volunteer for 2nd Saturday, the Golf Outing, Building Blocks and almost every event and program over the past few years.
