The 2018 Family Law and Tax Webinar to be held on March 13, 2018 at 9 AM is a continuation of a series of law and tax seminars first offered in 2013 by CFLCW.
The goal of this year's webinar is to educate and guide attorneys - especially family law attorneys - and other professionals interested in the topic through the impact of the recently enacted "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act." The presenters will update you on the law and provide examples and case studies of exactly how real client situations will be affected.
The new law will affect individuals, families, family businesses, partnerships and corporations. The webinar will identify the changes and, through the use of comparable scenarios, illustrate how your and your clients will need to adjust to the new law. Special emphasis will be placed upon how income is measured, how changes impact support and other divorce issues, as well as what needs to be considered in post-judgement situations. Typical client financials will be presented along with the implications of the major components of the new law.
NOTE: This webinar is not training in the Collaborative Process and is open to anyone interested in family law and tax issues.
The Webinar is co-sponsored in name by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association of Mediators. We thank them for their support and ongoing efforts to coordinate and support family law issues and education in Wisconsin!
